"Feng Shui" in Chinese, it recalls the words "wind and water", intended for health, happiness, peace and prosperity. These words give the name to an ancient doctrine, with Chinese and Tibetan origins, born as a support for traditional architecture, in the design of spaces, houses and furniture. Essentially, the spaces are organized in such a way as to create a true harmony: nothing is chosen or positioned at random, each object has "its" place, in order to promote the well-being of those who live there.
But how exactly does it work?
The principles of Feng Shui give considerable importance to the presence of magnetic and energetic fields, to the subtle balances and energies of a place. In addition to the search for balance and harmony, between the interior and the exterior of a place, Feng Shui also takes into account magnetic and energy fields in the arrangement of furniture., in order to avoid the appearance of negative energies, which over time can affect humans. Nothing is chosen or placed at random: Ying and Yang must be in balance and the Ch'i energies of the environment must interact positively with the person, bringing him positivity and well-being. This ancestral practice is still very present in the East today.; in fact, when you buy a house, a Feng Shui master is immediately consulted. Are you ready to move the furniture? Here you are some useful tips on Feng Shui, to have good energy at home.

The first step is therefore to store, get rid of the superfluous and throw away unnecessary things. After a healthy cleaning, remember to avoid the accumulation of objects that are not really useful.

- In the kitchen, choose yellow to stimulate appetite and energy, starting with breakfast.
- If colored walls ain't your thing and prefer neutral colors, contrast the colored walls of dark objects.
3. Natural materials
For interior decoration, Feng Shui suggests thechoice of natural materials. Therefore, you prefer materials such as wood, stone, and metal over plastic. Wood floors and windows allow visual continuity between the natural exterior environments and the interior of the home. Water, a natural element related to money and communication and, according to Feng Shui, it should always be present in the rooms of the house. As for the bedroom, it is preferable that it be located away from the front door and not facing the street, in order to obtain greater tranquility. Then place the bed crosswise, with the headboard facing east, without it being fixed to the wall, allowing air and, therefore, also positive energy to circulate freely. At the end, head and feet should not point towards the entrance to the room. The door must be out of sight, while trying to fall asleep, to create a situation of greater relaxation and tranquility.

In the living room, the couch it must be positioned so that it is facing the front door, as a symbol of welcome to the guest. The back of the sofa should rest against a wall, to give a feeling of protection to those who will sit on it.
The kitchen should be a welcoming and tidy place. Here too, positive energies must circulate, respecting the cardinal points, and the door must not be behind the cook in order to promote peace in the kitchen. Finally, the oven should not be near the refrigerator or the sink. Fluid and rounded shapes are preferred, to angular.
